About the event

Speakers
Rob Geaney - RNID
Rob is the Lead for Campaigns and External Affairs at RNID and has been working for the charity for nine years. Rob’s role is to influence Government, Parliament, industry and employers to create social change to support the 12 million people who are deaf, have a hearing loss or tinnitus. Rob oversees RNID’s campaigns on subtitles, hearing aid provision, ear wax removal services, British Sign Language legislation as well as being a spokesperson on disability employment for the charity.
Josh Feldman - CBRE
Josh is a property valuation professional at CBRE who is living with life-long hearing loss. Josh joins us to share his lived experience of hearing loss and how it has impacted his journey through his real estate career to date.
Warren Stapley - Montagu Evans
Warren is a diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) and responsible business specialist based at Montagu Evans, a practising solicitor and a member of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability. Warren was born with a severe hearing impairment, for which he wears two hearing aids – and has extensive professional, pro bono advisory and lived experience of disability. Warren is commercially focused with a keen interest in how disabilities are managed (or not!) in challenging, client-focused work environments.
Clare Mitchell - L&Q
Clare is a qualified accountant who has worked for L&Q for two years. Clare has been deaf since birth and uses a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter at the workplace, removing the communication barriers that enable me to add value to the business. Sharing my experience in navigating my career journey is something I believe in, creating awareness of how to work with deaf professionals and how to work with BSL interpreters effectively. In my tenure at L&Q, I have been involved with two network groups, promoting and influencing the importance of inclusion and diversity in all workplaces.
